Tennis Camp is this spring! We hope your child is as enthusiastic as we are! Although holiday will look and feel a little different under the current circumstances, NATO-Sportivun has planned a fun new program with exciting activities for everyone’s enjoyment.

Below during registration you will find our COVID-19 Policy, it explains in detail the procedures we take daily and in an event of a cancellation or change in the camps’ schedule due to unforeseeable circumstances.  Please note that in order for programs to proceed, there must be a minimum of 30 children per week. Deadline to register is March 7th.

Spring Tennis Camp (April 4 to 8) is coming soon! We hope your child is as enthusiastic as we are! NATO-Sportivun has planned a fun new program with exciting activities for everyone’s enjoyment. To ensure the safety of everyone, the following Policies and Procedures will be implemented without exception: In accordance with Belgian Law, NATO-Sportivun Camp will operate two “Bubbles”.
  • Bubble One will be Group 1 (3-5yrs of age).
  • Bubble Two will be Group 2 (6-12yrs of age).
  • Adults (excluding NATO-Sportivun Staff) will not be permitted into the Holiday Camp Space: classrooms, hallway and bathrooms.
  • All children will not be permitted into NATO Headquarters for any reason.
  • Camps will only be available to NATO Employees’ children. No outside members may participate.
Hours of Operation will be 08:00-17:00 with two distinct Drop-Off and Pick-Up times for each Bubble.
  • Group 1 (3-5yrs old) – Drop-off at 08:00-08:30. Pick-up 16:00-16:30
  • Group 2 (6-12yrs old) – Drop-off at 08:30-09:00. Pick-up 16:30-17:00
  • In the event of siblings in different Groups/Bubbles Parents should drop-off and pick-up at the earliest block of time or at 08:30 and 16:30.
  • Children arriving outside of the time schedules will not be permitted access to camp.
Third parties dropping-off and/or picking-up the child.
  • If the person in question does not have a family access card, NATO-Sportivun must be provided with the following information via email:
  1. Name of the person who will pick-up and/or drop-off the child.
  2. Date of birth.
  3. Nationality.
  4. Vehicle registration number. (If applicable)
  • Third parties can only access the installation through the north gate.
  • Third parties will be authorized to park their vehicles at the staff center parking lot.
  • Third parties must abandon the installation once they drop-off or pick-up the child.
Health and Safety Measures implemented by NATO-Sportivun:
  • Upon Arrival, staff, parents and children will be required to submit to a thermometer check and a Health Questionnaire.
  • Each Bubble will queue on the designated lines (1.5m) outside of the two separate rooms. Facing the Staff Center’s front entrance, Group One will que to the left and drop-off through the farthest left door. Group 2 will que to the right and drop-off through the door closest to the main entrance.
  • Before signing the Attendance Sheet, Parents will use sanitizer gel and before the child enters the classroom, they will use sanitizer gel.
Social Distancing of Adults:
  • Parents/Guardians and NATO Employees/visitors WILL NOT ENTER the Colonies (including classrooms, hallway and children’s bathroom).
  • Parents/Guardians will follow the Scheduled Arrival and Departure Times and maintain distance during these times by standing in the designated spaces.
  • Sportivun Staff will maintain 1.5m distance from other adults and will not function outside of their Bubble.
Hygiene
  • There are set and specific times the staff and children are required to wash hands
  • All materials and tables will be sanitized before and after use.
  • Classrooms will have one final sanitization of tables/chairs/materials/doorknobs/etc. at the end of the day after children have left.
Snacks and Meals 
  • Aramark will be providing snacks and hot meals following the NATO Headquarter policies.
  • Bubbles will be dinning in their classroom for snacks and in the cafeteria for lunch at a separate, designated time.
We are confident that if everyone does their part and follows the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures your children will have a great holiday!  

What to pack

Please make sure that your child wears comfortable (weather appropriate) athletic clothing and brings the following items: Group 1 (3-5 year old)
  • Change(s) of clothes
  • Shoes for tennis and separate shoes for sports/activities
  • Personal tennis racket if preferred (not needed)
  • Blanket and sheet for nap/rest
  • Sportivun Water Bottle
  • Hat
  • Face Mask (these will only be used in an emergency where social distancing, of adults outside of our program, cannot be maintained.)
Group 2 (7-14 year old)
  • Shoes for tennis and separate shoes for sports/activities
  • Personal tennis racket if preferred (not needed)
  • Sportivun Water Bottle
  • Hat
  • Swimming items (suit, cap, googles, towel and flotations if needed)
  • Face Mask (these will only be used in an emergency where social distancing, of adults outside of our program, cannot be maintained.)
Sportivun will provide our NEW participants with a water bottle that they can take home at the end of the week. We look forward to seeing you at camp!
